The INSAR Meet-the-Experts (MTE) is an event hosted by the INSAR Student and Trainee Committee (STC) that is usually held during the INSAR Annual Meeting. Due to the cancellation of the in-person Annual Meeting this year, the STC has chosen to hold a series of virtual MTE events delivered by teleconference!
This event is intended for research assistants, student scientists, and postdoctoral researchers to network with expert autism scientists in a unique and informal format. Join us for a digital round-table event with the autism expert of your choice (chosen upon registration), who will share experiences about their career, research from their laboratory, and advice on how to build a successful research career.
These sessions will be open to current INSAR Student members. Registration is required and seats are limited. Each expert session is limited to 20 Student Members.
If you registered for a table at the in-person MTE, your registration will not carry over--you will need to register for this event separately. The event will not be recorded for later viewing. Table assignments will be confirmed via email prior to the event.
Given the teleconferencing platform for this year’s event, we kindly invite you to consider your online etiquette for this event. Specifically, we encourage you to use video capability (if possible), to dress professionally (i.e., business casual), to situate yourself in a private space (to the best of your ability), and to use good judgment in your attendance of the session (i.e., please mute yourself when not speaking, ensure professional behavior throughout the session, etc.).
If you have any questions or concerns about professional etiquette, please email the STC prior to the event at email@example.com.
