INSAR Board Officer Position – President-Elect 2020

The membership of INSAR elects a new Board of Directors every two years. Transition from one board to the next takes place at the business meeting of the INSAR Annual Meeting. The nomination and election process is managed by the Nomination and Elections Committee.
After Board strategic discussions about improving continuity and transitions from one Board to another, a President-Elect position was created. Elections for this position are held every two years (on alternating years with the Board elections). A President-Elect is voted on by the membership. The elected individual serves a one-year term as President-Elect immediately followed by a two-year term as President.
We invite nominations (including self-nominations) for the position of President-Elect. Nominees must be current Full Members of INSAR. Also, please confirm with each nominee that s/he is willing to serve in the role to which s/he is nominated, before submitting your nomination(s).
Each nomination should include full name, contact information, and a brief (2-3 sentence) statement summarizing the qualifications of this INSAR (Full) member for the position to which s/he is being nominated.
The President-Elect of INSAR shall be the current elected President-Elect of the Board of Directors. The President-Elect is an in-training role for the position of President. In this role the President-Elect shall assist in the Presidential duties and serve as an active member of the Board. The President-Elect shall have other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by law, by the Articles of INSAR, or by these Bylaws, or as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors.
