INSAR Board Officers:
Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice President

According to the INSAR Bylaws, the membership of INSAR elects a new Board of Directors every two years. Transition from one board to the next takes place at the INSAR Business Meeting held during the INSAR Annual Meeting. The nomination and election process is run by the Chair of the Nomination and Elections Committee.
We invite nominations (including self-nominations) for the following positions: Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice President. Nominees must be current Full members of INSAR. Please confirm with the nominee that s/he is willing to serve in the role to which s/he is nominated, before submitting your nomination.
Each nomination must be submitted via the online form and needs to include full name, contact information, and a brief (2-3 sentence) statement summarizing the qualifications of this INSAR (Full) member for the position to which s/he is being nominated.
INSAR Elections 2019 – Board Officer Positions
The Vice President of the corporation shall be the current elected Vice President of the Board of Directors. In the absence of the President, or in the event of his or her inability or refusal to act, the Vice President shall perform all the duties of the President, and when so acting shall have all the powers of, and be subject to all the restrictions on, the President. The Vice President shall have other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by law, by the Articles of Incorporation, or by these Bylaws, or as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors.
The Secretary of the corporation shall be the current elected Secretary of the Board of Directors. The Secretary shall keep or cause to be kept a book of minutes at the principal office or at such other place as the Board of Directors may order of all meetings of the Directors, with the date, time and place of holding, whether regular or special, and if special, how authorized, the notice thereof given, and the names of those present at Directors meetings. The Secretary shall give or cause to be given notice of all the meetings of the Board of Directors required by these Bylaws or by law to be given.
The Treasurer of the corporation shall be the current elected Treasurer of the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall have charge and custody of and be responsible for all funds and securities of the corporation; receive and give receipt for moneys due and payable to the corporation from any source whatsoever; deposit all such moneys in the name of the corporation in such banks, trust companies, or other depositories as the Board of Directors shall select, and, in general, perform all the duties incident to the office of Treasurer. If required by the Board of Directors, the Treasurer shall give a bond for the faithful discharge of his or her other duties in such sum and with such surety as the Board of Directors shall determine.
