IMPORTANT: If you have an INSAR profile (record) but are not currently an INSAR member, or you attended the Annual Meeting as a non-member (you already have a profile with a username and password) and want to apply for membership now, sign in to your profile. Review these procedures to complete the application form, and purchase membership.

INSAR membership is open to individuals engaged in academic or research activities, graduate students and post doctoral researchers, and others vested in the study of autism spectrum disorders (ASDs).  

  • INSAR Membership Year:  January 1 - December 31;  Membership dues are not pro-rated
  • Membership applications accepted:   January 1 - March 31 & June 1 - December 31
  • Deadline to join INSAR and attend the Annual Meeting at member rates:   March 31

Developing Country -  Reduced Rates: Individuals living and working in countries designated by the World Bank as Low, Low-Middle, and Upper-Middle Income economies qualify for reduced INSAR membership and the Annual Meeting  registration rates. To attend the Annual Meeting  at these reduced rates, INSAR membership is required. Application fees are waived.

Student Membership $60.00

Student applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, graduate, postgraduate, or postdoctoral training program involving autism related research at an accredited university.  Student applicants must submit a INSAR Student Eligibility Form to be completed by the student's advisor/mentor. Post-baccalaureate / post-graduate status includes individuals who received a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in the past five years and are active members of a laboratory (e.g. research assistants) with documentation from the student’s mentor. Student members have voting privileges.

Please note: There is a $25 new member application fee for Student Members. So, if you are joining as a new member, or returning to membership, your total will be $85.

Individuals from Low/Low Middle Income Countries: Dues: $5.00; application fee is waived.
Individuals from Upper Middle Income Countries: Dues: $25.00; application fee is waived.

Required: return this completed, signed INSAR Student Eligibility Form by email to: membership@autism-insar.org; this should be submitted within 10-14 days from application submission. 

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP:  APPLY ONLINE HERE


Full Membership $120.00

For full membership, an individual must have a graduate degree from an accredited university, have publications in peer reviewed journals related to autism research, and/or have external funding for autism related research. In addition, an individual may have other scientific credentials that they wish to submit to the membership committee for review. Full members have voting privileges.

Please note: There is a $50 new member application fee for Full Members. So, if you are joining as a new member, or returning to membership, your total will be $170.

Individuals from Low/Low Middle Income Countries: Dues: $10.00; application fee is waived.
Individuals from Upper Middle Income Countries: Dues: $50.00; application fee is waived.

FULL MEMBERSHIP: APPLY ONLINE HERE 


Affiliate Member $120.00

Affiliate membership status is available for non-students, including community stakeholders such as families and individuals living with autism, who do not (yet) meet membership requirements, but wish to enjoy the benefits of membership. Affiliate members do not have voting privileges.

Please note: There is a $50 new member application fee for Affiliate Members. So, if you are joining as a new member, or returning to membership, your total will be $170.
