The International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) is a scientific and professional organization devoted to advancing knowledge about autism spectrum disorders.
INSAR was created in 2001. To date, the Society's main task has been to run an annual scientific meeting - the International Meeting for Autism Research (IMFAR). Information about past and future IMFAR meetings can be found on this site.
In addition to the annual meetings, INSAR has recently contracted with John Wiley and Sons, Inc, to publish the Society's research journal entitled "Autism Research". The journal has had one successful year of publishing high quality papers and will soon be listed in the Index Medicus. Please also see the INSAR Journal tab herein for more information.
This web page was launched on July 1, 2007, and it will be continually updated and expanded. We hope to make this site a useful informational portal for everyone concerned with ASD research. Please bookmark this page and check back regularly.
